Home » Who are we ?
Since 1967, La Guilde has supported projects, incubated solidarity initiatives, trained change agents, and evaluated their impacts. Our choices, recognized as being of public utility since 1981, are the foundation of our identity, which is why we strive to be bold, altruistic, and committed.
La Guilde funds microprojects and supports the associations that run them, from implementation to monitoring/evaluation and experience capitalization. Among the cluster's areas of expertise: sport as a tool for social innovation!
As the leading French organization for sending volunteers abroad, we offer two programs: International Civic Service and International Solidarity Volunteering. Experience intercultural solidarity.
Daring to face conflicting contexts, in Iraq, South Kivu, Syria, Lebanon, Armenia, La Guilde undertakes projects aimed at preserving dialogue and culture alongside its partners.
Through the Les Ecrans de l'aventure festival organized each year in partnership with the City of Dijon, as well as individual funding, La Guilde has supported the exploits of adventurers around the world since its creation.
Serving international solidarity associations, La Guilde has been supporting and financing small international solidarity initiatives around the world since 1983. With the help of its financial partners, the Microprojects division offers calls for projects to localities and on various themes, coupled with support, training and monitoring and evaluation programs.
Initially funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then by the French Development Agency (AFD) from 2013, the program " Territorialized Platform for Microprojects » (formerly “Microproject Agency”) carried by La Guilde aims to structure, support and strengthen the actors who carry dinternational solidarity microprojects.
During his speech in Ouagadougou in November 2017, President Emmanuel Macron positioned sport as a "lever of action for youth and economic and social development in Africa."
Overseas regional cooperation – since 2024, has encouraged the dynamics of regional and international cooperation between overseas civil society organizations (CSOs) based in the two oceans: Atlantic (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique) and Indian (Mayotte and Réunion).
The Microprojects division is characterized by its approach that is both human and digital. Since 2013, La Guilde has developed its own digital platform to facilitate the management of calls for projects, project monitoring, and to bring together various stakeholders in the sector (funders, project leaders, and support staff). In addition, through its Observatory, which is accessible to all, La Guilde strives to share and promote documentation for international solidarity stakeholders.
Digital technology facilitates the organization of call for projects sessions, as well as the reception and processing of applications. Thus, the online platform makes it possible to manage various call for projects sessions at different times of the year and therefore offer regular funding opportunities to associations.
Our digital tool allows for close project monitoring, from application submission to final report validation, including field visits. A true interface between donors, project leaders, and support staff, this tool also allows for tracking the progress of the many associations supported by La Guilde and its partners.
The digital platform allows project leaders to submit a single funding application to multiple donors. These donors can then pool their selection processes, notably by conducting joint assessments and drawing on a vast network of country and thematic experts. In addition, through the platform, associations benefit from personalized advice on their projects, whether they are funded or not.
The La Guilde Observatory is a database of tools for capitalization, knowledge and information sharing, and other educational resources for international solidarity actors and small local initiatives. It is regularly updated by the Microprojects team through internal monitoring and production.
The Guild and the Regional Multi-Actor Networks (RRMA) support international solidarity associations before submitting applications with personalized support sessions to prepare projects and applications; but also after funding through a specific support program for winners and on-call sessions.
The Microprojects division offers various financing options through calls for projects. With its digital tool, all procedures are carried out online, whether for submitting an application, monitoring reports, or, on the donor side, managing a call for projects session.
One of the key objectives of the Microprojects division is to highlight the benefits of the "Microprojects" model. The project sheets of La Guilde's winners help inspire new initiatives. The capitalization sheets allow us to draw on good practices for reuse. The communication allows us to present the various projects supported by La Guilde.
Solidarity Projects brings together project leaders, funders, support structures, and geographical or thematic experts, together creating a significant network of actors to support International Solidarity initiatives.
The Microprojects division connects these different stakeholders based on identified needs. It promotes synergy and complementarity.
The Guild will support you as best as possible in your efforts.
