The Fondem The Guild and La Guilde announce the signing of a partnership aimed at strengthening international solidarity projects in the energy sector and supporting micro-project developers for a just and sustainable transition. This collaboration marks an important step in structuring sectoral alliances to maximize impact.

Two complementary players serving development

The Fondem developed access to electricity in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa thanks to renewable energies, relying on a triple social, environmental and economic impact.

La Guilde, for its part, accompanies the international solidarity micro-projects supported by small associations, by mobilizing a network of experts and by supporting local innovation, particularly through calls for projects.

A partnership to strengthen micro-energy projects

Formalized in December 2025 by a partnership agreement signed between Vincent Rattez, General Delegate of La Guilde, and Paul Testard, General Manager of the Fondem, This collaboration revolves around a concrete issue: to provide sectoral "energy" support to micro-projects supported by La Guilde.

Many micro-project developers are integrating an energy component into their initiatives, such as electrifying a health center, installing solar panels for an agricultural cooperative, or providing energy to a rural school. Technical expertise is therefore essential to ensure the relevance and sustainability of these projects.

Thanks to this partnership, the two organizations combine their expertise:

  • Fondem brings its sectoral expertise, in particular on renewable energies, to analyze, secure and support the projects backed by La Guilde; ;
  • The Guild leverages its experience in supporting project leaders, its tools and its network of French and local actors in order to facilitate the implementation and promotion of initiatives.

By combining their skills, the partners aim for a common goal: to guarantee suitable, sustainable energy solutions rooted in local development.

To participate in the dynamics of sectoral alliances

Faced with dwindling public funding and the increasing complexity of development challenges, sectoral alliances are emerging as a strategic response. Pooling expertise and combining thematic approaches strengthens the impact of projects.

The Guild is evolving from a platform-based approach to a Multi-stakeholder engagement alliance, bringing partners together around shared values to strengthen the efficiency and sustainability of initiatives. The partnership with Fondem illustrates this concretely: general expertise meets energy specialization, serving field projects.

The next three years will focus on building a strong partnership through training, awareness-raising, co-facilitation and joint communication around the supported projects.
