In the Kédougou region, in southeastern Senegal near the border with Guinea, rural exodus, illegal immigration and illegal gold mining are major problems.
The village of Noubou is difficult to access from the road between Kédougou and Salémata, which poses a significant obstacle to marketing produce grown in the village and its surroundings, as well as to maintaining adequate healthcare. Poverty and food insecurity are also challenges that the population is trying to overcome.
In this context, the Association of Young People from Salémata in Kédougou wishes to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of Noubou and reduce rural exodus through food self-sufficiency by creating a sustainable agricultural model.

35 young members of the Noubou community and surrounding villages, most of whom are already trained and experienced in agriculture
Through its Microprojects division, the NGO La Guilde, in partnership with the French Development Agency and the Fondation de France, supports the implementation of microprojects serving sustainable development internationally.
